Where and How to Display Hazard and Safety Flags for
Airport Construction To mark construction vehicles. Vehicle
flags should be 3’ by 3’ in dimension with an orange and white
checkerboard pattern utilizing 1’ x 1’ squares. To mark construction hazards including barricades,
taxiways leading to closed runways, open manholes, stockpiled
materials, or other related hazards. They can be either solid
orange or orange and white. They must be a minimum of 20” x 20” and
must be securely fastened and fully extended for visibility. When
