United Safety is pleased to announce the introduction of our new Color/Flow Coded Hydrant Flow Identifiers. United Safety offers an entire line of color coded hydrant flow identifiers, designed to let firefighters know immediately what the "available flow" is at the hydrant closest to the fire. Firefighters need to know as quickly as possible how much water is available from the closest hydrant, so they can rapidly select the appropriate hose capacity for the size and complexity of the fire, but not select lines which would exceed the capacity of the hydrant and thus be ineffective

Standardized color coding based on NFPA guidelines can immediately convey this critical information to the engine companies, in order to streamline operations and reduce the level of fire hazard.

NFPA Standards call for color-coding of available flow at the hydrant, as follows: 
Class C - Less than 500 GPM - Red 
Class B - 500 - 999 GPM - Orange 
Class A - 1000 - 1499 GPM - Green 
Class AA - 1500 GPM and above - Light Blue

The HYDRAFINDER™ and Miniflags can be color-coded to conform to exact NFPA standards, to meet municipal and firefighter hydrant flow requirements.

The 6" wide highly reflective red striping tape on the white Hydrafinder™ fiberglass shaft affords instant day and night visual location of the fire hydrant. The high-visibility Hydrafinder™ quickly locates hydrants buried in snow or covered with seasonal vegetation overgrowth.

The resilient 3/8" diameter white laminar matrix fiberglass Hydrafinder™ shaft is attached to a heavy duty MIL SPEC zinc plated carbon steel spring mount that allows for 360 degree total flexibility.

The Hydrafinder™ is adaptable to most standard fire hydrants with an easy to install 5/8" diameter bolt-on steel "flat" (Fig. A) or "L" (Fig. B) mounting bracket.

Port Mount HydraFinder™

Due to customer demand, we would like to announce the addition of a PORT MOUNT RING TYPE "HYDRAFINDER."

This unit will be exactly the same as out "Original" HYDRAFINDER but will have the ability to be port mounted. This allows the unit to be totally removed in the case of a fire.

Extended Port Mount HydraFinder™

This unit will be exactly the same as the Port Mount HydraFinder™ with the exception of an extended bracket for extra clearance. The Port Mount allows the unit to be totally removed in the case of a fire.

Port Mount HydraView™

For the budget minded customer, we would like to introduce our new low cost "HYDRAVIEW" marker. This unit has the same quality components RoDon Corporation has been known for in the past. We have removed the spring and added a PORT MONT RING. This unit is intended for areas not prone to vandalism and crime. This unit is not suggested for areas with large concentrations of children such as schools, parks, playgrounds or bus stops.
